Maintenance recommendations for AIRBUNKER inflatables

Design of bunkers

AIRBUNKER inflatables are designed for arranging paintball and lasertag games and events. Air bunkers manufactured according to international standards is the best solution for any budget.

The material of the airbunkers  is durable PVC fabric 650 g / m². The fabric is resistant to sunlight, water, fuel. It does not decay and retains its properties from – 5 ° C to + 40 ° C. If properly operated inflatable bunkers can withstand game loads for more than 10 years.

You can inflate or deflate the bunker through the valve, which is protected from dirt with a special screen on the velcro. The Push & Go air valve is fixed in the air inlet and outlet positions with a spring-loaded nipple. To protect the mechanism during the game, the valve is equipped with a plug.

Inflatable bunkers can be decorated with the logo or emblem of your club. All bunkers are equipped with handles for easy carrying when they are inflated and fastening elements for attaching to the ground. Water-filled pieces are attached to the ground only by the compartment filled with water. Tactical bunkers are additionally equipped with special loops to set up different constructions.

Each order of AIRBUNKER inflatables  is equipped with a repair kit. Repair should be done only with the materials from the repair kit. It includes PVC fabric for patches, special Desmocoll glue, rubber band, valve cap, etc. Desmokol glue should be stored at a temperature from +10 ° C to +25 ° C in the hermetically sealed original packaging.

Information on the repair and maintenance of inflatable shelters can be found in the instruction manual.

Installation and operation

Carefully inspect the site for the game before starting the installation of inflatable bunkers. Stones, stumps, twigs or other sharp objects on the ground can damage the bunkers.

Filling the air bunkers with water

If the bunker has a water-filled compartment, it is filled first. This can be done with a hose connected to the water pipe. Due to the large weight of the water, it is necessary to fill the bunker in the place where it is being installed.

The valve for the water inlet is located in the bottom part of the bunker it can be identified by the absence of a protective screen on it. Squeeze out all the air from the filling compartment and pour water until the compartment takes its shape. To avoid creating excessive pressure, filling the compartment with water do not block the valve neck with a hose.

Filling the bunkers with air

Spread all the bunkers with valves up so that it is convenient for you to inflate them with air. We recommend using an ordinary leaf-vac for this, and not the sources of compressed air like cylinders, compressors for tire inflation.

During the process of filling the bunkers, make sure that the inlet of the vacuum is not covered by the shell of the bunker or other objects. The degree of inflation of the bunker can be determined by smoothing the folds.

When the bunker is inflated with air, close the valve by pressing on the nipple with a clockwise rotation. Depending on the size, bunkers are inflated from 30 seconds to 60 seconds.
Watch the air pressure in the bunkers. If during the day the temperature rises, or the bunkers are under the sun, the pressure inside the bunkers increases. In this case, you need to bleed the air by pressing on the valve nipple. When the air temperature decreases, the pressure inside the bunkers drops and they must be pumped up.

Paintball inflatable pieces should be slightly under-inflated, in this case the balls will not bounce off of them. Tactical bunkers can also be used to play laser tag, for which they should be more solid. To pump up tactical bunkers use the foot pump for inflatable boats, which is included to the kit.

Fastening to the ground

Attachment is performed by hammering plastic or metal anchors to the ground and connecting them with the attachment unit for the pieces by elastic cable. It is not recommended to use a metal cable or rigid ropes to connect anchors and fasteners. This may damage the bunker material.

The second option for attaching inflatable pieces is the use of ballast weights. These small bags, filled with sand, are attached to the loops by an elastic cable also.
Bunkers above 2.7 m must be additionally fixed for the upper part with a cable through the entire platform or by stretching to the ground.

In order to avoid reducing the time of operation, do not pull air-filled pieces on the ground. Make sure that near the bunkers there are not sources of fire, heating devices, pyrotechnics. Avoid getting chemical solvents on the material and do not allow pets to come close.

Disassembly and packing

First of all, when disassembling inflatable structures, it is necessary to free the pieces from all fastenings to the ground. Tactical bunkers must be detached from each other.

If the pieces get dirty during use, they need to be cleaned before packing. This is necessary so that the PVC cloth, when folded, is not damaged by sand, dirt and other litter. For cleaning, use water or a mild detergent – soap or shampoo. After the pieces are cleaned, wipe them with a dry cloth and wait for them to dry.

If the bunkers are equipped with a water-filled compartment, the next step will be to drain the water, by opening the corresponding valve. Squeeze out the remaining water by pumping air into the main compartment.

Next, bleed the air from the main compartment of the bunker. To do this, open the air valve, press the nipple and turn it a quarter of a turn counterclockwise. Wait until the air comes out by itself or use a vacuum in the pumping mode. As soon as the piece is practically deflated, fold it towards the valve to squeeze out the remaining air. Install a plug to prevent valve clogging.

To reduce the taken space and ease the transportation, folded bunkers are recommended to be packed in a special bag. They are also used to store bunkers.

It is recommended to store inflatable bunkers in a cool and dry place, away from sharp, hot objects and rodent habitats. At negative temperatures it is not recommended to move products without a special branded packing bag for inflatable pieces.
